Immersive Didactics is a didactical framework that focuses on secondary and tertiary education. It integrates insights from the broad fields of education, neuroscience, entertainment and psychology into one actionable and integrated framework for the practice of teaching, educational design and quality assurance. The Immersive Didactics Framework can also be used as a teacher education tool.

Sounds great and all, but what is Immersive Didactics?
In a nutshell, Immersive Didactics is a novel didactical approach that integrates a large swath of the most impactful models, theories and insights from the broad fields of education, entertainment and neuroscience. The goal of Immersive Didactics is to Immerse learners into educational experiences by cleverly leveraging the synthesized insights from the above mentioned disciplines. To that end, I propose a framework of theories, models and tools. Immersive Didactics effectively consists of a wide variety of interdisciplinary articles and resources that are easy to understand and applicable in a huge variety of educational contexts. This website is meant as a free repository for information and tools pertaining to Immersive Didactics.
The main novel key concepts in Immersive Didactics are:
– The Cycle of Immersive Education:
A brain-centric cyclical approach to Learning and education which aims to help educators understand Learning and reach the cognitive state of Immersion in learners through engaging, effective and pleasurable subjective learning experiences. When this is done well, learners may be more prone to re-immerse themselves with the educational experience, entering a feedback loop of effective and pleasurable educational experiences.
– Education as a Performance Art:
A metaphor to help understand the inherent complexities of being an educator and that by this complexity, educating can never be perfected. As such, Immersive Didactics proposes an approach to education that views educating as a stage play with real interpersonal stakes and connections. An Imperfectable Performance Art wherein teachers, educational designers, management, support staff and other stakeholders harness a growth mindset to reflect upon their impact. A mindset wherein mistakes are seen as a necessary, unavoidable and even welcome part of education that allows us to improve collaboratively.
– The 3-Acts and Stages model for Immersive Didactics:
A flexible model that combines insights from entertainment, psychology, educational neurology and much more into an actionable and intuitive model for the design, performance and review of educational content on almost every perceivable Educational Level, from curriculum design to learning pathways, from individual classes to learning activities, from tough mentoring talks to small student-teacher interactions.
